Presented by Heather Pierce, Green Door Co.
About Speaker: A native of South Carolina, Heather returned to the Lowcountry after attending Hollins College and earning a BA in Sociology. She got her start in HR by recruiting, transitioning to employee relations and subsequently to creating HR functionalities from the ground up in construction, healthcare, senior living, IT, and more. Along the way she received her MBA and a MS in Project Management, both from the Citadel. She holds her SPHR, SHRM-SCP, PMP and is a certified Mentor.
Having worked as an HR Director for large employers, she recognized that many organizations were unaware that they needed a partnership between people and process, between HR and Operations. Aligning people with purpose while removing obstacles, allows an organization to thrive even while facing unprecedented challenges.
She and her husband live on Johns Island with their pup Scout.
